Devices

USES

The NeedleNurse® devices can be used in any patient receiving an intravenous needle inserted into the elbow join, arm, leg, wrist or hand. The NeedleNurse® devices should be the predominate intravenous needle fixation protocol in hospitals, dialysis clinics, oncology clinics, outpatient surgery centers, and any medical facility or practices applying intravenous needles to patients. In addition, the NeedleNurse® devices have a significant appeal to veterinarians and animal hospitals and animal surgery centers.

TYPES

All of our products are single-use sterile packaged. Each consist an underside saddle with straps attached that loop around the body part to crisscross over the butterfly section of the insertion needle and continue around to fasten to the underside of the saddle with a hook and loop adhesion system. The portion of the saddle and straps the touch the skin are made of non-allergenic material designed to be minimally abrasive to the skin.

While the patient comfort and stress redution is a great reason to use a NeedleNurse® device, clinically the most important duty of the NeedleNurse® devices are to eliminate Adhevive TAPE dramatically reducing or eliminating the possibility of brusing and skin tears that may occur with Adhevive TAPE. Skin tears can lead to infection which equates to additional treatment cost and suffering to the patients.

Adhevive TAPE IS ELIMINATED! The sterile non-allergenic device material is the only material that comes in contact with the skin. Unlike the age old procedure that requires the use of Adhevive TAPE to hold an intravenous needle in place, the NeedleNurse® devices need no Adhevive TAPE in their use. There is no irritation to the skin and multiple device use on a patient will not cause skin irritation, tearing or abrasions. NeedleNurse® is benign to skin.  Plus patient comfort is unequaled with the NeedleNurse® devices.

Testimonials
• "Soft to the skin"

• "Why didn't we have these sooner?"

• "We need to use these on all patients with needles."

• "I like it a lot!"

These are just a few of the comments we have received. The greatest endorsement of the NeedleNurse is that those patients who have participated in clinical trials refuse to allow the dialysis nurse to perform their treatments without using the NeedleNurse.
